1. No Plagiarism: By submitting the story, you attest to the fact that:
    • The story is completely original.
    • You are the sole author; or have the sole rights to the story.
    • You are giving us a temporary license to publish your story – the terms of the license being defined in the next point.
  2. License to publish: Should we choose to publish your story on the d.ustb.in:
    • The terms of the CC Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license shall apply.
    • Your story will be published under the category/section “Featured Stories of the Week” for a period of seven calendar days.
    • During this period (i.e. while your story is one of the “Featured Stories of the Week” on “The Dustbin”) we request that you don’t submit your story anywhere else – as a gesture of good-will?
    • We will definitely link back to any online identity you provide us– we only ask that you link back to us, too. You scratch our back; we scratch yours – what say? :)
  3. Terms of Rejection: Should we choose to NOT publish your story:
    • We will send you an e-mail stating the same & all the rights to the story will be immediately transferred back to you.
    • Upon delivery of the said e-mail, we shall hold no claim whatsoever over your submission. Heck, we might even suggest other sites that might accept your story!
  4. FOC publishing: FOC stands for Free-of-Cost
    • Since we are a non-monetising site, we cannot (& hence do not) pay authors of featured stories. (Heck, we can’t even pay our editors!!) All the equity involved is purely intangible & based on mutual understanding. We hope you understand. :)
  5. These Terms & Conditions might change without prior notice – but we will try & inform you well in advance, if we can.
  6. We do NOT have a posse of lawyers standing by – please do not sue us! However, if you have any arguments, issues, claims, etc. do mail them to: bin{dot}closet{at}gmail{dot}com with the prefix “QUERY:” in the subject line.
